VERSATILE GEOTUBE®

TenCate Geosynthetics of America and the Netherlands have developed TenCate Geotube®. These are synthetic elongated bags that can be filled with sediment and silt. Due to the filtering effect of the material, the water drains out, but the solid matter remains behind. This allows pollutants, for example, to be safely packed for storage. But it is also a great solution for reinforcing dikes, dams and dunes, because it can also be built on. Even as a foundation for a port area, TenCate Geotube® can be used. In order to communicate its versatility, TenCate Geosynthetics asked C4Real to develop a visual content strategy for this.

Product is not photogenic

A specific request from TenCate Geosynthetics was to present the possibilities and operation of Geotube® in a stimulating way. Until now they had communicated mainly with texts and photos. However, this did not work properly. The product does not look pretty and is mainly used in dirty conditions, so the functionality is paramount. The story behind it is very strong and that needs to be visualized.

Consistent communication

In order to properly communicate exactly what TenCate Geotube® are and can do, we recreated various situations in 3D. Think of water filter installations, mining situations, a port under construction, a bridge and an island under construction ... all kinds of applications that are recognizable to the target group. We then turned the animations into 3D stills that are used on the website. In this way TenCate Geosynthetics continues to communicate consistently and the total story becomes clear to the target group that is not yet familiar with the TenCate Geotube® product.
